I am a mental health therapist who strongly believes in the healing power of therapy to promote transformative movement in people's lives. Everyday, we are faced with challenges that, when left unchecked, prevent us from pushing forward to reach our life goals. I provide perspective, motivation, organization, goal-oriented and resourcefulness in a safe and caring setting. Allow me to provide quality care that is sensitive to cultural and personal needs.
My approach to counseling is based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy while also focusing on the importance of effect of relationship and culture in our daily lives. My work focuses on creating a collaborative relationship, a partnership where we work together to examine goals and to promote therapeutic progress. I want you to know that you have strengths and are in control of your movement. I am here to provide the encouragement, guidance, and perspective to do so.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Child Mental Health Specialist in the state of Washington and have been working in this field for over 4 years. I am also a trained Clinical Supervisor. My education includes a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Community Counseling from Gonzaga University. Additionally, I have kept abreast of the latest evidenced based best practices including continuing education training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
