Vital Changes

Meet Dawn Flynn

As a naturopathic doctor and acupuncturist various aspects of one's life are important to me when working together to improve health. Physical comfort, emotional challenges, genetics, beliefs, and lifestyle all contribute to one's wellbeing. With this understanding, I take an integrated approach, incorporating natural therapies which work in harmony with the body to support its own inherent healing tendencies. I seek to provide treatment that is as unique and dynamic as each person who comes to see me.

I often will assess imbalances in neurotransmitters, hormones, food intolerances, and heavy metals, which are often related to emotional and mental difficulties, with functional laboratory testing. I provide treatment for individuals using nutritional counseling and supplementation, acupuncture, and botanical medicine.

People often come to me for help because they are:

  • Wanting to get off their pain pills but don't want to be in pain.
  • Tired of waking up in a fog and would like to wake up refreshed and clear headed.
  • Interested in a personalized nutritional plan to help with weight management.
  • Prevented from participating in the activities they enjoy due to joint pain, fatigue, or just not feeling well and are curious if this could be different
  • Recovering from drug and alcohol addiction and want help with cravings, pain management, anxiety and depression
  • Considering medication for depression or anxiety but would like to try alternatives first.
  • Finding themselves smoking more, drinking more, eating sugar more, etc. and would like help managing their stress in a healthier way.

I earned my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) and BS in Natural Health Sciences from Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA and my MS in Acupuncture from Tri State College of Acupuncture in New York, NY. I am a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and Washington State Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Currently I am working toward my certification as an Inner Relationship Focusing Teacher and I try to bring that gentle curiosity to all that I do.
